My work is driven by curiosity, spontaneity, impulse and inspiration, born of years'- long dedication to making art. Printmaking and painting require technical skill and training, planning and preparation; the energy of creation comes from a deep level beyond the conscious mind, before words and language. With my work, visual images are a product of both the open moment and the life where creation and preparation hemispheres meet. My inspiration is found in reading, seeing, experiencing wonder, and in celebrating the inconsequential. And, it's often about the question.
